» step 4
»RECOVERING COORDINATION
Lower and upper limbs, proprioception
The recovery of strength must always be integrated with proprioceptive work, which enables to apply very specific force. It is the typical feature of this step, where the aim is to enable patients to recover their coordination. All injuries that involve osteoarticular tissues alter the perception of kinetics and proprioception, which therefore needs to be restored for a truly complete functional recovery. In this step, specific applications based on the use of a Controlled Elastic Force and Proprioception devices, such as Easytech's oscillating tables or the electronic Libra table, can be beneficial. For the upper limbs, it is instead possible to use Ultra, an innovative electronic biomechanical system.
